Morrison-Biblical Prophecy - The Book of Daniel

The Book of Daniel is essential in understanding Biblical prophecy. Daniel is to the Old Testament what Revelation is to the New Testament. We cannot fully understand one without the other. Prophetically, Daniel deals with “The times of the Gentiles”, the period that began in 606 B.C. and will end when Christ returns and sets up His Kingdom. In Daniel’s various visions and dreams, we see the program of Gentile history from the rise of Babylon to the rule of the Anti-Christ just before the return of Jesus Christ.

This book proves that there is a God in heaven and that the most High rules in the kingdom of men. Daniel makes it clear that God Almighty is sovereign in the affairs of this world, even as it appears to be coming apart at the seams. Daniel is a relatively short book, but compacted into its pages are multitudes of fascinating prophecies and basic doctrines which challenge the Bible student to carefully consider its teaching verse by verse. This study is extremely relevant when considering all the turmoil that is transpiring in our world today. The words of Daniel will assure us that our God has always been, and will always be, in control of the affairs of men.
